ANNAN APPOINT GEOFF BYERS AS TEMPORARY TEAM BOSS. The management committee at Annan Athletic Football Club announced that they are to advertise for the position of Team Manager following the resignation of Billy Sim. The Annan Athletic secretary indicated that in the short term the committee have appointed Geoff Byers as team manager and he will take over the role immediately and as such be in charge of the team for Saturdays East Premier League match against Edinburgh City. Byers was manager of Penrith for four years and played for Annan Athletic , Penrith , Gretna and Hawick Royal Albert . “The committee have decided that they want to advertise the position but in the short term they felt it important that someone with experience should guide the club until a permanent appointment was made. The Annan secretary indicated that interested parties should contact him directly in order to maintain confidentiality and to obtain a copy of the job description.” We realise that it could take us a few weeks to go through the selection process but in that period it is essential that the club structure continues to function effectively. |
Directions
From the north on the M74, turn off at junction 20 and follow the signposts for Annan. After three miles, immediately on entering Annan, the club is on the right-hand side. From the south turn off at Gretna and follow the signposts for Annan. Head into the town centre and turn right at the traffic lights. After quarter mile the ground is on your left.
